VTB Design Code — MOTION SYSTEM

One style. Many stories. A bold kinetic language for a national brand.

In 2024, we developed a motion design system for VTB — one of Russia’s leading banks — to unify its visual communication across dozens of products and services for small and medium-sized businesses.

The system is based on modular 3D bricks: architectural shapes that reflect the flexibility of VTB’s IT microservices. These bricks adapt to each storyline — forming structures, vaults, screens, or abstract business landscapes — depending on the topic.

This approach created a recognizable style that viewers associate with VTB from the very first seconds.

Scalable. Recognizable. Cost-effective.

A system that works like a toolkit — fast to deploy, easy to customize, always on-brand.

The design code wasn’t built to impress with a single animation. It was made to scale across dozens of videos — reducing production time and budgets while maintaining strong visual consistency.

At the same time, each piece remains unique thanks to flexible lookdev, object integration, and compositional freedom.

From system to signature

This motion identity became a foundation for future campaigns — from digital ruble launches to investment product promos. It’s not just visual design. It’s a language.

CIFRA

Online accountancy service for small and medium-sized businesses

In this video, the design system was used to represent clarity, automation and efficiency. Bricks group into interface-like layouts and screen environments, showing how VTB helps entrepreneurs stay in control of their finances.

DEPOSITS FOR BUSINESS

Service for quick and easy business deposit placement

The visuals explore the idea of reliability and financial growth. Structures appear stable and minimalistic, referencing bank vaults, grids and layered blocks — all derived from the same motion code toolkit.

LIQUIDITY

Products and tools for liquidity management

Here the motion system expresses complexity and scale. Bricks interact with glowing threads and data streams, representing real-time control over large financial flows. The result is dynamic yet strictly on-brand.
